Beautiful mixed Roses on a Ornate Mat, Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

Ceredyn's Roses are so realistic, and the topper designs are always so beautiful, I love working with her card designs. This one is so universal in its' appeal as well. I used Crafty Bob's Gloss card to print this out, the main topper is 12.5 cm, H and 11.5 cm W. NOTE: as Usual with my work all edges are colour matched with either a permanent marker or inked stamp pad. I cut out all the elements and turned them over and put them flat onto a clean white sheet and using a H.B pencil, gently coloured around the edges of each one. HINT If you are new at working with elements, use the smallest finest scissors you can manage, and hold the scissors at a slight angle with the point turned about 45' to the right. This will soften the edges of the cut, and so make the elements blend in easily. Be careful as you apply each one, as the blue flowers are actually hidden differently under the 2 different roses.

The main card is Blue core card (30cm x14.5 folded in half)to match the blue flowers. To the green core card (14.5x13.5cm) using Double sided tape I attached a pale pink card (13.5 x12.5 cm). I then added the satin ribbon held at the back with Crafty Bob's Strong Red Double sided tape. And used small squares cut from Crafty Bob's Double sided roll of padded tape, and attached it to the card front. Easel Style Opening

The Topper then was completed by adding the elements with small Double sided padded dots, The gem strings around all edges and then the ribbon attached at the back. Using the Roll of Double sided tape, I used rectangular lengths to attach this to the finished card front. The bow at the top is a length of the same ribbon slipped under top section of the main card ribbon, hand tied, and held in place at the tails with a dot of Glue pen. The sentiment I have left blank and will use a peel off sentiment when I need to use the card. I mounted the sentiment onto folded ribbon with Padded Double sided tape and added 2 sparkle gems I am delighted with the result. This is a must for everyone's stash.
