Beautiful Lilac Butterflys and MagnoliasCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I printed the sheet offered twice onto white light weight card and used one copy of the main image as the main backing sheet.

I then made a 13.5 x 13cm green backing sheet, the edge of which I defined by using my ruler and a permanent pen in a darker shade of green.

I attached a purple ribbon horizontally across 3m down from the top edge before I used padded D.S. tape on the back of the main image to attach it to the front of the green backing sheet.

I secured the ribbon at the back of the green backing sheet and then attached this to the white card front which when folded measures 14cm square.

I then used the second copy to carefully cut away the pearl embossed frame, keeping it aside to use as part of the insert.

The remaining smaller image of the fans, magnolias and butterflies I then attached to the card front using padded D.S. tape I also attached the purple bow I have made and the sentiment I have chosen from the list provided.

I did not complete the decoupage until I had completed the insert. I used the frame I had set aside to attach to the right hand side of the open insert and the extra copy of the decoupage image onto the left hand side and redrew the butterfly’s feelers.

I completed the decoupage for the card front and again redrew the feelers. The shades of mauve, purple, cream and green, are such a delightfully feminine mix and add glamour to this beautiful image.

This is a design so suitable for so many female celebrations, thank you, Ceredwyn, this is another bonus for my female collection.
