Mickey and Minnie dancing a birthday tune definitely has universal age appeal, I could not resist choosing to purchase this delightful design by Nick Bowley.
I printed the sheet provided twice, using really good quality white card and used the main image from one copy as the main backing sheet, attaching it using D.S. tape to white card which I trimmed to match the frame before defining the edges with a permanent rose pink pen.
I attached this to a pink with white spot backing sheet cut to reveal the corners only at 12cm square.
I have attached the rose pink, white spot ribbon across the front horizontally 4cm up from the lower edge.
I have not attached this to the front, leaving it loose, but have secured the tails at the back of the pink, white spot backing sheet.
I made a gloss white 200gsm card using A4 Crafty Bob Photo paper and cut it at 28x14cm and scored and folded it to use easel style.
I attached a pale pink 13cm square backing sheet to the card front and used padded D.S. tape to attach the topper.
I used the second copy to carefully cut away the pink frame, reserving this to use as part of the insert.
I then cut out the dancing image as one piece and used padded D.S. tape to attach the couple onto the card front over the ribbon.
I have re-drawn the lines indicating the interpretation of movement hidden by the ribbon using a fine line black permanent pen.
I have used a short length of the same ribbon to slip under the front loose left edge of the horizontal ribbon to tie a single knot and anchored the tails down using red Power tape.
I have used one of the tiny pink bows and some peel- off musical annotation symbols, I have coloured using a black permanent pen, and the sentiment as embellishments.
To complete the insert, I have used the same pink, white spot backing sheet cut at 28x14cm to attach using my glue tape roller.
The pink bow with a sentiments and a small image from the first copy, I have attached on the top half of the insert and the reserved frame to the lower half of the insert.
I am yet to write the verse suitable for the 12 year old recipient of this greeting and will add this to the site at a later date.
I have used the small image from the second copy and the small gloss white card left over from trimming the main white card, to make a greeting tag to attach to the gift.
Thank You Nick, this is such a happy vision to give, and hopefully bring a smile, when the recipient will only be able allowed her immediate household family to be with her on this special day.
