I printed the design on photo paper, attached it to a card stock and cut it to the shape of the dog, I attached the tab to the inside of the card and assembled the elements with silicone glue.

There is a bit of cutting around the dog's fur, I used a craft knife and didn't have any problems and the finished product was worth it.
