This is a card design I had ordered some time ago and has not had any description or photographs attached.
I have made 2 new cards using this design. Both birthdays are on the same day. One for a very special friend and one for a 90th.
Birthday Celebration in my charity craft group. Both are made in the same card size,18x15cm, materials, with some minor differences in embellishments. For each card I needed 3 prints of the sheet provided to make the layered decoupage front which is attached using padded D.S. tape.
The lace is mitre cornered by folding and attached at the back of the main image using tape runner glue and held in place once the backing sheet is attached using red power tape.
The first card backing is the same size as the finished size to the edge of the lace and the second 90th card is aged using a stamping technique and the backing is 1cm wider than the main image.
I have used split pins on the corners to hold the lace in place and secure the lace through the card front.
I have used a parchment print ivory paper for the insert in each card and made a double insert for the 90th card which has a second insert.
The finished embellishments include glitter pink peel off strips and a double gathered lace rose stitched onto the card front and floral and pearl peel off strips and a single gathered lace rose stitched to the card front.
I will use this design many times more as it is such a versatile design to use for Spring, Easter, Mothers’ day, and Sympathy.
