3 All about the birds card fronts/toppers 5Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

This is a beautiful sunny summer image with delightful sunflowers turning their sunny faces to the sun. I drove past a field of these on Wednesday and how sunny and bright the day then seemed. I hope my card will have the same effect on the recipient.

I printed the sheet twice onto the one sheet of matte white card and used one as the main image and the other to cut out the outer flower display, retaining it, to form part of the decoupage for the front of the card.

The ivory main card is cut at 28x 14cm then scored and folded before I have then attached, using D.S. tape, the pale green paper insert cut to fit.

I have used 2 backing sheets, a bright, 13.5cm square, light apple green and a black, 12.5cm square, which I have attached to the main image using D.S. tape.

I have attached the pink ribbon horizontally across 4cm up from the lower edge of the green backing sheet, then I have secured the tails at the back.

I have attached this part of the topper to the card front using D.S. tape.

I have used padded D.S. tape and small squares to adhere to the back of the floral frame and then attached it to the card front.

I have used padded D.S. squares to attach the bird onto the card front, making sure his tail hangs over the front lower edge.

I made a bow using the same ribbon and attached it using red power tape.

To complete the insert I have attached a small image from the sheet onto the left hand side and left the right hand side for my verse.

I am not sure yet what occasion I will use this for today and as it is such a universal style, I will keep it ready for whatever celebration pops up.

I have used the other 3 small images to make 3 gift cards and each of these has a different sentiment and will be very useful to have on hand.
