Coffee Heart Valentines Heart Shaped Pyramid

This Valentine’s Day card is a very handy and clever, unisex design, which gave me a chance to make this design, by Apetroae, into a male valentine card. This card design is a very easy pyramid, and a very quick card to complete. I used a 200gsm white card to print it, and I used the main element as the main backing sheet. I coloured the edges with a metallic gold pen, and then attached an 18cm length, of gold 1cm wide ribbon, to the back of this main image, measuring , 0.5cm down from the top, and left the ribbon tails loose. I made a white backing sheet, which measures 13.5 x 9.5cm, I coloured the edges with the same metallic pen, and used padded D.S. tape to attach it to the back of the main image. I made a second backing sheet in a bright orange, which measures 14cm x 10cm. I used the same pen to colour the edges and D.S. padded tape to attach it to the white backing sheet. I made a fawn coloured textured card as the main card and cut it at 30cm x 11cm. I then wrapped the gold ribbon tails around these 3 attached backing sheets, and secured them, at the back of the orange backing sheet with power tape. I cut out the elements of the decoupage and used tiny padded D.S. squares to attach the pyramid pieces in place. Before I attached this completed topper to the fawn coloured card front, I used a 12 cm length of the gold ribbon, and a 24cm length of a 1cm wide ribbon, to attach to the topper. This ribbon is in a brown and gold giraffe style print on one side and a plain brown on the other side. To attach it to the left hand side, I used a skewer to push the ends through the gold horizontal ribbon, then levelled them together to find the middle point, and completed a single knot. I then used 2mm wide D.S. tape, to attach the 4 ribbon tails, where I wanted them to rest. I attached this completed topper, to the fawn coloured card front with padded D.S. tape. I am very happy with this male orientated looking greeting card finish. I will use this design again, as I can always cover the valentine sentiment with a larger sentiment tag, that will hide the valentine sentiment and then be able to use it as a thank you, hello, let’s meet for coffee, happy birthday, and so many more celebrations and occasions, for both male and female.
