Lovely pyramid Beautiful Bluebell WalkCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus
OccasionI was thrilled with this beautiful bluebell walk in the woods by Ceredwyn, the shades of purplish blue show up so dramatically, and the bluebells certainly are made a focal point to draw the eyes into. I printed the sheet supplied, twice, onto crafty Bob's gloss 200gsm card and cut out all the elements on the first sheet, and just the flower sprays on the second sheet. I made the base card white, 23x 14.5cm, and folded it in half. I made 3 backing sheets. White card 14.25 x 11.25 cm and edged it with a purple permanent ink pen. Then a moss green textured card,14 x 11cm and edged it with a green pen. The smallest of the backing sheets is again a white card 13 x 9.5, also edged in purple. I attached the largest white card with double sided tape,to the base card first. I then, measured and marked with a pencil on the back of the green backing card a line 2.5cm up form the bottom edge. Using double sided tape, I attached a mauve satin ribbon 2.5cm wide 25cm long, along this line of tape across the back of the green backing sheet card, and carried it across the front section of the backing sheet matching the lengths of the loose ends equally on the left hand side to tie a bow later on. I used a small piece of double sided tape on the front green backing sheet on the left hand side to anchor the top layer of ribbon, and hold it in place.
I then made up the step by step process of the pyramid, by placing the ovals in place accurately and attaching each one with padded tiny double sided tape. This covers some of the flower sprays, which once I had cut them out accurately again and attached with tiny padded tape. I used double sided tape to attach the completed topper to the smallest white card and edged the topper with the same purple ink pen, and attached this to the green backing sheet with double sided tape. I added a small 1cm length of very strong double sided tape, in the position, where I wanted the tails of the bow to sit, then tied a double knot and pushed it slightly forward into place, and anchored the tails. I added the sentiment last of all. If you were quite happy NOT to have the flower sprays as part of the focus, you would only need to print one of the sheets.
Thank you Ceredwyn another one of your master pieces for me to make.
A big Hug.
