Iris Multi Greetings Pyramid and Step by StepCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I have made this stunningly beautiful image of a lilac coloured iris design as a pyramid, step by step decoupage and used the second main image of the iris to make my version of an easy tri-fold card.

This design makes the verse, the main iris plus the pyramid made iris, all appear in view when the card is standing.

The main ivory coloured card is cut at 26.5 x 13.5 cm, and is prepared first, by measuring starting from the ;left hand side and marking and then scoring and folding a valley fold at 5cm, a mountain fold at 13cm, and a valley fold at 17cm, leaving the last section to measure from left to right as 9.5cm.

For the inside of the flat opened card, the small black backing sheet is cut at 13 x 4.5 cm, the plain lilac backing sheet is cut at 13 x 7cm and the smaller lilac print backing sheet is cut at 13 x3cm and the larger lilac print at 13 x 8.5cm and these are all attached using D.S. tape.

I then added the gold fine line peel off strips and attached the larger version of the iris image using padded D.S. tape.

I made the pyramid using the step by step method and attached each element using padded small D.S. squares.

I attached this topper to a black backing sheet cut at 12.25x 8cm and I then attached a 4cm x 13cm black backing sheet to the smaller 5cm wide front panel using D.S. tape and added the gold peel off strips before attaching the topper to the centre of the front panel using 3 strips of red power tape to the centre back of the topper black backing sheet.

I attached the verse I have written, which is easily altered for the recipients’ need, whether the finished card is intended for a sister, grandmother or a friend, and whether you choose to use the design for a different floral design.

The card closes to fit into an envelope size, 16 x 14.5cm. I really love the purple and mauve iris flower, so I will use this design many times for so many occasions.
