I decided to use this design as a Christmas card so I pricked the pattern onto red paper, scalloped the edges, then mounted it onto gold card, leaving a narrow border.

I was pleased with the way the gold showed through the piercing.

I mounted the topper onto a green card and added a bold greeting in green and gold. I have also stitched this pattern as a birthday card. A very versatile design.
