I have design some book folding patters.
It?s a easy and fun way to reuse your old books. All you need is a book, ruler, pen and a craft knife / scissors.
In all kit?s there is a preview image, tutorial and pattern.
For this pattern you need a book with at least 540 pages (270 sheets) and from 20cm high.

After printing the pattern I checked the size of book I needed then headed to the charity shop. I found a book the size and number of pages I needed.
I subtracted the number of pages in the pattern from the number of pages in the book and divided the answer by two.
This gave me my starting point in the book ensuring I had the same number of unused pages at the start and end of my folding.
The pattern refers to folds and this is one loose page with page numbers on both sides.
I marked each fold as directed in the pattern. I choose to mark all the folds then go back and do my folding. You fold from the top of the fold to the first mark then from the bottom of the fold to the second mark keeping the fold at right angles as much as you can.
It really all depends on the length of the page and where the mark is if you can make it right angled or not.
I did this for the Cross. When I had finished I removed the extra pages at the front and back of the book leaving the hardback cover which I will decorate.
Looks difficult but is really very easy to do. Just takes time and patience.
