Snowy Postbox 3D Panel SheetCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

This design will be a nostalgic memory for my English born friends now living in Australia, showing the post box, snow scene and snowflakes.

I prepared the decoupage by using padded D.S. tiny squares and joining the 3 sets of images and then attaching each set in turn in the order of top to bottom.

I wrapped the ribbon around the lower spaced section and tied a simple bow. The main card is the holly print, cup479109_936, printed onto both sides and cut to measure 28.5cm x 16.5cm.

To make the open frame I have measured and marked with pencil and removed, the window style opening, sized at 12.5 x 8cm.

I used my craft knife to start in the centre of the measured space and made a cut corner to corner.

I used my folding tool to draw a score line along the pencil lines marking the 12.5cm x 8cm area and working from the inside of the open card, I then valley folded these triangle shapes and creased firmly before trimming them back to measure 1.5 cm fold back on each of the 4 sides.

I cut the 16.5cm x 14cm snowflake embossed acetate to attach over this on the inside and then the village snow scene.

I have used a red peel off strip as embellishments and added the sentiment. The pillar post box is then attached to the card front. Pamela Horton.
