This beautiful bright design has made into a delightful thank you card for me to use as a thank you greeting response to family and friends for my 77th birthday this month.
I printed the sheet provided onto white card and cut out all the elements matching them with the main image and I wrote the word, top, to indicate the right way up on each of the small elements.
It was then very quick and easy to attach the matching smaller images, using small padded D.S. squares onto each of the larger elements.
Before I completed the step by step process onto the main image, I have made a 14.25cm x 9.5cm dark salmon pink backing sheet and edged it with a black pen and attached it to the back of the main image using D.S. tape, and used the next backing sheet, a 14.75cm x 10cm textured silver card, to which I have attached the dark salmon satin ribbon 4cm up from the bottom edge, and attached it to the 16cm x 11cm white card front using D.S tape.
I then attached the salmon backing sheet to the larger main image using padded D.S. tape. I completed the decoupage using small D.S. squares and added the silver peel off decorative strip and made the sentiment.
I then tied the bow and used red power tape to attach it in place. To complete the insert I have used Clare Walker’s design, cup799407_79993 Pink watercolour floral background, cut to fit, and attached the smaller image of the finished card and a very pretty stick on butterfly.
I have left the rest of the space for my special greeting.
To make my set of thank you cards complete, I have printed 9 copies of my finished card onto light card and made 9 copies onto the one sheet of light white card, of the finished card I have made and cut out 15cm x 8cm white light white card to score and fold.
I have attached a small cut to size copy of the print of the background sheet by Clare Walker and attached the small printed copy to the card front.
I have made a matching envelope using copy paper and the same background sheet.
I will upload a tutorial for this later next week. Thank you Diane for offering this design for purchase, I love the way the design builds to make such a beautiful dimensional image.
It is also amazing to be able to use the products offered for purchase on this site, we crafters know as Crafty Bob and keep them on file and then to be able to use and re-use them time and time again.
Spending and afternoon making these cards and 9 gift cards with envelopes takes a little forward planning, and has been made so much easier today with this beautiful design.
