Over The Edge Bracket, Beautiful Red roses Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

A beautiful deep red rose designed around a stitched frame with bridal veil flowers, and so very suitable for many occasions, including wedding or engagement, even sympathy. I used the Just for You sentiment and kept the others to add on top in case this one did not suit the particular celebration I may have in mind at a later date. Ceredwyn's floral designs are always a delight to work with, so thank you for another one of your treasures. I printed the sheet off twice. One onto matt copy paper and the other onto gloss 200gsm card. The matt copy came out a little darker, so I was able to intermingle the shades to give extra dimension.

I made the main card in white 21cm x 13.5cm. I used a pearl finished red paper cut at 12 x 9.5cm to keep within the theme of "over the edge" as a backing sheet. I then cut out all the elements from both sheets and used a step by step method to build up the bracket and the roses. Using the gloss version of the bracket, I attached a deep burgundy red ribbon to the back, wrapping it around , so that the 2 loose ends meet on the left hand side. To the back, again of the gloss section, of the topper, I attached a tiny, 10cm doily, centrally to the top point of the bracket, and tied the single bow on the left hand side of the topper. I then used double sided tape to attach this to the white main card, allowing the lower edge to over hang the red backing sheet.

I used all the pieces of the roses, that I had cut out from the sheets, and reduced the top 3 roses to be just the centre heart on each of the roses. Such a delightful design. I was happy with the difference in the shades that resulted in using both the gloss and matt as a tone on tone effect

A Big Hug and thank you
