Bead Shape Sampler #1
Paper Beads! Brand new on CUP. This is a really fun craft and can be used for just about anything from jewelry making to greeting cards!
All you need is a little patience at first and a few supplies like scissors, paper glue and toothpicks and you're on your way! Once you've made a couple beads - you'll be amazed at how fast it goes and you'll be hooked!
This sheet is a shape sampler, which lets you try 6 popular paper bead shapes.
Complete instructions are provided as a CUP tutorial and these instructions apply regardless of the bead shape. For the tube beads, you can start rolling from either end, otherwise, you'll always start rolling from the wide end.
For the tower beads, start with the wide end and roll flush against the straight edge. The angled edge will then create the thinner part of the bead creating the tower look.
The end result is just lovely and you'll find dozens of uses for your pretty beads! Enjoy!
This sampler sheet makes 1 large tube bead, 1 small tube bead, 1 small oval bead, 1 large oval bead, 1 large double barrel bead and 1 large shaped oval bead.

Printed onto 80gsm paper 4 times. I chose the 4 small designs and split the double bead into 2 making 20 beads. I used cocktail sticks to roll the beads onto and a glue pen to seal them. Then I varnished them.
Once dry, and using a few jewellery findings, I made necklace, bracelet and ear-rings set.
