Lion Clock FaceCompleted by Gwyneth George

I printed the sheet onto the heavyest weight white card that would go through my printer and then cut around the round clock face. I turned it over and found the centre point before cutting a small hole in the centre with a craft knife and then snipping outwards a bit with a scisors to make the hole just big enough for my clock mechanism to fit through (wanted it to be a tight fit so that the face doesnt turn around). I went around the edge of the clock with some fancy border silver peeloffs that were the right type to go round the curve. I finished off by putting in the clock mechanism and attaching the hands.

The clock mechanism can be bought quite cheaply from a number of online retailers. As the loop to hang the clock on a wall hook is part of the clock mechanism, the face itself doesn't need to be super hard, only firm enough to support its own weight. This is a quick way to make a fun clock for a child's bedroom (and an 8" x 8" matching card can be made as well if it's a gift). As the mechanism can be unscrewed a new face can be added to the clock if the child's tasts change or if the bedroom decor changes.
