I initially cut the base of this card on matte photographic paper which gave the sky a velvety look which I liked , the second silhouette layer I decided to cut out of glossy photographic card to add a bit of body to the card, this didn't work very well, despite going over the edges of the silhouette with black ink there were still white bits showing round the edges on the pictures.

I decided to cut the top layer again using matte photographic card and this worked much better.

I mounted the base onto dull silver card and then onto a black base card, I coloured the edges of the silhouette on the top layer before mounting onto the base layer using foam strips.

I stamped the blank greeting circle using a stamp of my choice and matted it onto black card and then mounted it onto the finished card using foam pads.

This is a really effective looking card, unfortunately, as the second layer stands proud of the base layer it wasn't possible to get a photograph without the shadow on the background showing so I hope that it doesn't distract from the lovely image of this card.
