The Fisherman Mini Kit Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

Olivia-Rose Designs has offered this delightful image of a relaxed fish catching sports person well dressed for the elements, which are threatening with the clouds imminent.

The vision is one of calm concentration.

I printed all the sheets offered onto 120gsm white satin finished card at 17cm x 12cm and I have used every sheet offered in the set to make excellent use of the different offset angled pages in the decoupage.

I have made the main image, with the frame, measure 10.5cm square and backed this with a timber brown 11cm square backing sheet.

The main black backing sheet is 1cm square and is attached the 14cm ivory card front, using red power tape.

The card opens to measure, 28x14cm.

I then used the timber brown off set image to cut away from one of the main images and backed it with timber brown,200gsm brown backing paper.

I used white glue to attach this to the card front. I repeated this with the grey offset image using a white backing sheet. The last image is the Hhappy Birthday square 8.75cm image which I have backed with 200gsm white backing paper.

I have attached the jacket bucket of fish image using the same backing technique and taken the front boot off one of the elements supplied to give extra dimension to the finished topper.

I was then able to write the verse and print it onto the soft dark yellow paper and attach the supplied frame element around using a D.S. peel off roller.

I completed the topper with a decorative silver peel off trim and some tiny silver spots.

This was very quick and easy to complete as all the pages fitted perfectly, I have now set aside all the elements prepared to make 3 cards, for my month of male birthdays in June.

Thank you I love the calm, yet poignant image. Pamela Horton, The Whispering Platypus
