I printed the sheets from this kit onto photo paper and cut the elements out. I mounted the base image onto a black mat, then onto an 8x8 inches card blank and stuck the insert inside.

I then added the layers with 1mm foam pads, except the butterfly, which I stuck the body down with flat tape and the wings with 2mm foam pads.
