8x8 Mini Kit, Beautiful Summer FlightCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

This beautiful floral and butterfly design by Ceredwyn caught my eye as it is perfect for me to make to showcase at my Charity Craft Day tomorrow as the birthday card for one of our ladies.

The main card is a soft peach 140gsm card cut at 22x12cm which I have scored and folded. This card has a second insert to enable the members to sign. This second insert made from the same card is cut at 20x12cm, then scored and folded and attached using red power tape to the centre insert.

I used the sheets provided to print twice and used the first main image as the main backing sheet and attached it to the aqua 11x10.5cm backing sheet using D.S tape I defined the edges of the main image frame using decorative gold peel off strips before attaching the wide aqua organza ribbon across 5cm up from the bottom and securing the tails at the back.

I attached this to the card front using D.S. tape. I used the second main image to trim away the frame but left the floral sprays overhanging intact. I used a fine line decorative gold trim to define the exposed edges of the frame.

I attached this using padded D.S. tape. I cut out the matching elements and attached these using padded D.S tape before making and attaching the matching organza bow.

I used the remaining elements provided to attach as shown in the photographs, leaving the single butterfly image on the, otherwise, blank page for the signatures.

I used the smaller versions as a gift card and a decorative addition to the back of the envelope. Thank you Ceredwyn, I love it. Pamela Horton The Whispering Platypus.
