I added words to the sentiment tag in my photo program, then printed on 250gm matte photo paper, also printing a copy of the topper layer from cup451725_382.
After cutting everything out, I glued the extra square topper to the inside back, positioning it so the skaters on the pond would show through the large opening in the front skate, then trimmed it away along the bottom edge of the skate.
This strengthened the back of the card for standing and also has space to write a message. I scored the back skate at the top of the square topper and valley folded slightly for standing, then added the decoupage with silicone gel and finished with snowflake sequins here and there.

I printed the skates onto 300gsm card and cut these out. I printed the design again onto good quality 255gsm photographic paper and cut it out.
I scored and folded the back of the skate at the heel and attached it to the front of the 300gsm card using strong double sided tape.
The 300gsm card allows the card to stand easily. I added the 255gsm photographic paper to the front and back using double sided tape. I assembled the decoupage using thin foam tape. This beautiful card also comes with matching gift tags. I added the butterflies using silicone glue.
