Handbag Gift Box Roses and ButterfliesCompleted by Margaret McCartney
OccasionI printed the design onto good quality 255gsm photographic paper and cut it out. I scored and folded each side of the bag as instructed. I assembled the bag using strong double sided tape.
I punched two holes where indicated on the top flap and threaded matching organza ribbon through the holes to create the handle.
I secured the ribbon using strong double sided tape on the underside of the flap. I then added this flap to the bag as instructed using strong double sided tape. I also used the ribbon to attach the gift tag to the bag.
To secure the flap I punched two holes on the front flap and on the body of the bag and again threaded the organza ribbon through and tied in a bow at the front.
I find that Velcro does not work well on the high glossy photo paper that I use. I printed one of the sheets again and used the roses and small butterflies as decoupage on the front of the bag.
I added the large butterfly using thin foam tape on the body only. I added glitter to the butterflies to complete this gorgeous design.
