I belong to a Church Charity Craft group of mostly ladies and this topper is the perfect choice for me to put together to use as one of the celebratory birthday cards we all sign for the relevant recipient.
I have used a bright buttercup yellow 14cm square card as the main card and have used 2 backing sheets.
Both shades I have chosen from the original topper. The dusty pink is 8cm high by 13cm and the teal is 6.5 x13cm.
I have joined them to make a 13 cm square backing sheet and used a teal check ribbon to attach to the join and secured the tails at the back before I attached the topper using D.S. tape and then this topper onto the yellow card front.
I have used a teal metallic pen to define the topper and the edges of the card.
I have cut out all the smaller elements provided with the sheet and before I attached them I have used a fine line black permanent pen to re mark the black curly detail as they are extremely fine to cut to perfection.
Some of the tiny elements I have cut out separately and attached them individually using padded D.S. tape I have cut to fit.
Before I attached the flower buttons I have used a green sewing thread to stitch tiny cream buttons onto the front being careful to match the button holes so that the petals then lined up and attached them with red power tape.
I have made the bow from the same ribbon. The inserts were so easy to attach using D.S. tape. I have used all the butterflies, one on each of the insert pages and 2 together on the card front.
Thank you for making this design available, I know my craft club will request many more of these. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus
50th Birthday card for a Wife. I printed onto glossy printable decoupage paper. I cut out all the elements building up the layers using pin flair glue. I used cream linen card layered with floral print paper I used my favourite scoring technique.
I used dies & peel offs for sentiments. I embellished with gems adding a yarn charm with a vibrant pink double bow. I also added ribbon on the end. I finished with the matching insert. Cup 1036817_1894. Designer Toni Martin.
