My friend saw this card design on the cup internet site and has asked me to make it for her daughter’s 21st Birthday.

I have and also made this one for my own daughter.

It is such a stunning, eye catching topper image and has all the elements needed to make a greeting card with that special point of difference.

I printed the main sheet provided at 13.5x13.5cm and cut away the frame, leaving a tiny edge of the black intact.

I have used peel off gold fine line strips to attach to the edges of the 12.5cm square black backing sheet and attached the blue satin ribbon across horizontally at 7cm up from the bottom edge.

I have used the same gold peel off strips to attach to the edges of the main image and using D.S. tape, I have attached these together and onto the blue 13.5cm backing sheet.

I have attached gold fine line peel off strips to the edges of the blue backing sheet. I have made the main card by printing a pink background with an all-over small pale pink spot onto both sides of 170gsm white satin finished photo paper.

I cut this A4 sheet down to measure 14.5cm high and scored and folded it before attaching the completed topper using D.S. red power tape.

I have made the insert by printing onto both sides as before and trimmed this to measure26.5c wide and 14cm high.

I have scored and folded this so that the front measures 12.5cm.

I have used a 14.5cm length of cotton lace to form an edge under the insert by attaching it directly on to the inside back of the main card and attached the back section in place using red power tape.

I have printed off the rest of the provided sheets in a size to match the main image to cut out all the elements from the sheets provided.

I have used a second image of the card front to cut away the pink frame leaving the 2 floral corners and the butterfly intact.

I have attached the gold peel off strips before attaching this to the card front using padded D.S. tape and completing the step by step decoupage using tiny D.S. squares.

I have added the pink pearl gems, the matching blue bow and the Happy Birthday sentiment as extra embellishments.

To complete the insert, I have used the 11.5cm square main image to attach onto the left-hand side and attached an image of the young lady and the supplied gems.

The front page of the folded section of the insert, I have added some flowers and a butterfly from the sheet provided and wrapped the blue ribbon over the edge securing it on the inside flap with a fold to represent part of a bow securing this using my glue tape roller a little at a time to ensure the ribbon stayed in line.

Using the same blue ribbon, I tied a simple knot and trimmed a small length of ribbon attached a butterfly and dots adding some glitter and the peel off Thinking of You sentiment.

The inside of the front flap, I have kept blank for me to write my special birthday message, attached a tiny blue bow and the young lady image.

I have written a verse which I will offer for the free verse section, edged it with a pink permanent pen and attached a length of the same cotton lace along the left-hand edge before attaching this onto the inside back section of the attached insert.

I have used some small elements to embellish this verse section. A beautiful design which I will be able to use many times using all of the sheets provided and some of the elements as embellishments for many occasions.
