I printed the sheets onto matte cardstock, choosing a 50% transparency for the insert.
I added a length of real ribbon to the printed one, picking up one of the colours of the parrot's tail feathers. I then added the topper and the pyramage layers (but later decided against those). Added the sentiment using narrow foam tape and some light pink "glass" cabuchons.
