Red Tulips Popout Arches Card KitCompleted by Peggy Stogdill
OccasionPrinted on matte photo paper (also the envelope, as I like my envelopes to be sturdy with a card like this).
I cut out all the pieces of the base card, scored, folded and creased where instructed.
Before I assembled everything, I "built" little window boxes from die-cut lattice and pieces of the first card front I'd printed-and ruined by experimenting with something that didn't work out-and filled them with tulips (also cut from that card front) and tiny flowers from my stash.
Mistakes can be opportunities :-) I cut out 3 of the butterflies, first putting cello tape behind the antennae to strengthen them, then used silicone gel to attach them to the card front, the inside right panel, and the main picture.
I added the rest of the decoupage, shaping the tulips and bows a bit first, and finished with a band of narrow white braid along the left edge of the card front and a sentiment panel (attached with foam pads).
