3D on the Shelf Card Kit - Gossip Galz - Strawberry SusanCompleted by Barbara Stubbings

A customer asked me to make 4 On-the-Shelf cards after her daughter (another customer) had given her one for her birthday.

The stipulation was that two of the 'old' ladies had to be wearing green and the other was to be wearing yellow (Arthur was the 4th card requested).

I went right through Carol's Gallery and found just what I needed. I think she has a character for every occasion! I printed the design onto good quality white card and cut out all the elements.

I inked the edge of all the decoupage elements (which I think is important as it hides the white edges on the finished card) and assembled the card using spongy tape.

Carol's instructions are easy to follow (but at this stage, I am able to assemble them from memory as I have now made quite a few).

I just love adding bling to these ladies but not too much, can't be too flashy you know.

For Susan, I added red pearls to her necklace, gems to her hat flowers and because the tops of the strawberries in her basket were quite tricky to cut around, I added a little bit of silver glitter to hide any white that was showing!

Needless to say, my customer was thrilled!
