I printed the picture images onto quality photo paper and cut them out. The backing strips I printed on matte card and then decided to print another pattern on the other side, rather than attaching the backing piece.

I chose one with complementary colours.

I scored and folded the background strip, attached the pictures and added faux gems to them here and there.

To complete it I punched a hole in the front strip beside the birthday wishes doiley and threaded white organdy ribbon through, making it long enough to tie around the booklet to keep it closed. (See my gallery for a closed view.) This beautiful design would be happily received by any birthday girl!
