Candy Cane Fold Over Gate Fold Card Kit
These Fold Over Gate Fold card kits are easy and fun to assemble. Each kit includes 6 sheets. Each kit makes a card with fold over front flap that lifts up to reveal the lovely card beneath. There are many designs for you to choose from! There is sure to be something for everyone in this collection.
These kits combine the fold over and gate fold concepts. The template is one that I created and is CMary Jane Harris 2012.
There are instructions included in each kit, and there is also a tutorial that you can view in the forum section of this site. It is in the Card Making Tutorial section, and is under this title: New Fold Over Gate Fold Cards. The tutorial includes pictures of a finished card.
Each kit includes: 3 sheets of card pieces, 2 sheets of layer/decoupage pieces & sentiment tags, 1 background sheet, and an instruction sheet.

I printed the design onto good quality 255gsm photographic paper and cut it out. I attached the back of the design to white card and cut the card to match the shape of the design.
I added the top flap to the white card using strong double sided tape.
I then added the inside of the card using double sided tape. This hides the join where the top flap is attached. I added the outside of the doors using strong double sided tape. I assembled the decoupage using thin foam tape. A lovely twist to a gatefold card and very easy to make.
