Scalloped S Edged Card - Guards' Parade
A very patriotic card for 2012! I have left the insert free of text to make the card more versatile.
This card looks a bit like my trellis cards but actually the trellis is false and is printed onto the card - as is the scalloped border - so there is no fiddly cutting out!
The front of the card is decoupaged, there is an insert and a matching envelope. Very easy to make and very patriotic!

I printed the envelope and insert on 130 g paper and the other sheets on Crafty Bob's glossy paper. The envelope was easily made by scoring and folding the tabs and attaching to the envelope back with DST. The insert and card base were trimmed, scored and folded and DST added to the back of insert and attached inside the card. The decoupage was added with foam pads.The Guards were edged in red and black ink first and added "staggered" to give the idea of many Guards marching along. I felt this card needed no further embellishments, as it is a really striking card in patriotic colours. It's now ready to add a greeting when required. A great card for little boys, but also appropriate for all ages.
