Red dahlia exploding box card with matching gift box
An octagonal exploding box card in white with a single red dahlia backing paper on the outside and red squares backing paper on the inside.
The middle layer flaps have the same squares backing paper and a red bow. The top layer flaps have a dahlia vignette or a butterfly (alternating) and a bow.

Lots of cutting, but very much worth the effort! I printed on regular cardstock, then followed the great written and photo directions included, using both scissors and craft knife.
The only thing I did different was - because I needed to ship it and so required very very sturdy- I used craft glue instead of foam tape everywhere but the top of the lids.
Then I added a small gem in the center of the dahlia. I was really impressed with all the sentiment choices that included what you'd expect but went much further with "Auntie, "Granddaughter," "Grandma," "Sister," and more.
