TIME FOR TEA POST IT BIRTHDAY EASEL
It's a birthday card and gift rolled into one, or rather into its own presentation box that can be used by the lucky recipient for all sorts of things ... A modified easel card with the topper held in place by the post-it note pad with its pen/pencil held in place by a piece of ribbon. Add a band with your wishes around the pad, with a sheet that pops under the band and it's perfect for birthdays or anything else (the bands read Lots of love, Have a very Happy Birthday, Have a Great Day and one blank) ... remove the band and it can sit by the phone or anywhere you need to make notes.
The kit includes : the easel base, topper panel, topper layer with decoupage, base layer in which you fix the ribbon for the pen holder and glue your post-it pad, presentation box base with instructions for making up the card, box top with decoupage layers.

This is a stunning gift that I will be giving to my best friend for Christmas. The included instructions are easy to follow and the construction is quick and simple once all parts have been cut out.
I printed the design on matte photo paper, scored where marked and cut out all the pieces. If you wish to use all the layers, as I have, there is quite a bit of fussy cutting but the shapes are simple and not fiddly. I am not normally a flowery sort of person but these layers look wonderful.
The only problem I had was that I couldn't find little pens anywhere - I bought a co-ordinating pen and will include it across the card in the presentation box. I felt that the ribbon to hold it when in use was the part going to be put under most stress so I reinforced it with some scrap photo paper before cutting the hole and adding the ribbon.
The 2nd photo shows the easel card closed against its presentation box and the 3rd photo is a close up of the top of this box. A gorgeous gift for a friend!
