A dovetail card features a square interior with four covering panels which interlock. Simple to make. Write your greeting inside or on a separate card inside. Will hold a gift card, or pop in vouchers/money.
Each dovetail card kit contains seven sheets: Card interior with sentiments and/or embellishments, Card back with sentiments and/or embellishments, Four dovetail pieces (on 2 sheets), Backing sheet, Envelope front, White envelope back.
If you print sheets at A4 size, your finished card will be approx 7 inches square. If you print at A5 size, your finished card will be approx 5 inches square.

I printed the design onto white card and the envelope onto 160gsm paper and cut these out. I printed the backing paper onto the back of each dovetail section before cutting them out.
I attached each section to the back of the insert using double sided tape and then I folded the dovetail design as instructed..
I attached the back of the card to the back of the insert using double sided tape. This hides the joins of each section. I assembled the envelope using strong double sided tape.
