Lilac Butterfly and Flowers Book Topper Card KitCompleted by Shelagh E Osborn Wright

I printed on a mix of Crafty Bob's photo paper and 130g paper. I made my card by following the clear instructions, first cutting out the parts, joining the card front to the back then attaching the inserts and bookmark pocket with DST. I added a blank oval to write a personal message inside and added the butterflies with mini foam dots and glue dots and placed the 2 bookmarks in place. I prepared the 3 book toppers by rolling over a desk edge to shape and attached to my card at an angle with a mix of DST, 1mm and 2mm foam to give shape.I attached the happy birthday and butterfly ovals with glue stick,added the strip over the centre with DST and decorated with pretty round lilac gems.

As a finishing touch I tied a narrow deep purple satin ribbon round the spine and tied a bow. The envelope is easy to make by scoring, folding and attaching the 2 parts with DST. This is a gorgeous coloured card, with lovely butterflies and would make a welcome card for the ladies,especially those who love pinks,lilacs and butterflies! I enjoyed making this card.The hardest part was getting the photo right to best display all the elements!
