White Orchid Aperture KitCompleted by Shelagh E Osborn Wright
OccasionThe orquid design and background were printed on Crafty Bob's glossy paper, the textured insert on 160g paper and all the elements cut out including the front aperture.
I matted the aperture panel with a striking oriental orange hand made paper with silk threads running through, glueing down well and leaving a minimal edging.
I attached another orange background to a cream portrait fold card leaving a narrow border and mounted my orquid backing paper on this using DS tape.
I centred and mounted the front orquid panel and added the decoupage with 2mm foam and silicone glue, first inking the orange parts of the orquid. Then I added a very narrow sraight gold border to the bottom backing paper.
I completed the card with a touch of yellow glitter to the orquids, two delicate white 3D butterflies and two tiny white paper flowers to the aperture together with a greeting and embellished with two tiny peach satin bows, to give the card a vibrant, summery feel.
A gorgeous design. Thankyou.
