Ice Castle #3 - the CastleCompleted by Margaret McCartney

I printed this amazing design onto 255gsm photographic paper and cut it out. This is kit 3. The first two layers of the Castle are the boxes from kits 1 and 2 with the embellishments added. That is the stairs and trees.

I assembled these using strong double sided tape and wet glue plus acetate to attach the trees instead of attaching them directly onto the boxes.

I assembled the top layer using wet glue and strong double sided tape. I have added some lights to the top layer. I have had great fun making this Castle and I am sure any young girl will be over the moon to receive this at Christmas time.

It stands 70cm or 2 feet 3 inches tall. It is possible to lift the lids of boxes one and two and store little things inside but the top box is secure and does not open.

Each level is attached to strong cardboard to give the Castle more stability.

I put Hunkdory Snowfall acetate behind the openings in the balcony on the top of the Castle. I intend to raffle this Castle for funds for The Driving Force in Bonnybridge. An amazing group of volunteers who give up their time to drive cancer patients to and from hospital for treatment.
