Garden Delight 3D Card KitCompleted by Peggy Stogdill

Occasion
Birthday / Birthday Floral

I tried something a bit different with this one: I printed the sheets on 200gm matte photo paper and then printed two copies of a coordinating backing paper on lighter weight matte photo paper (I used the one from cup410798_425).

I didn't print the second large piece that was to be used to back the main card piece. I rough-cut only the main card piece (the one with the writing panel on it) and pieces A, C and E and used spray adhesive to attach them to the backing paper I'd chosen, then cut them out after they were dry, and also cut out the decoupage pieces.

I used a craft knife to cut out the slots, scored and folded the pieces where indicated and used silicone gel to add the decoupage, let it dry, then put it all together according to the tutorial.

By making it this way, I was able to cut out the four main pieces just once as they were already backed with the coordinating paper.

I can use the pieces that are left, which are mirror images of the pieces I used, to make a second card, printing another copy of the main card, the backing sheets and some pieces for decoupage.

Clear as mud?? In any case, it's a gorgeous design and a wonderfully dimensional card.
