Surprise Card - Butterfly on Rose
A new concept for me. Surprise cards are small - about 4.25 inches square. they
are gatefold cards with interlocking frames on the front with a central topper
with decoupage. Inside the card the wings of the gatefold are decorated and
there is an insert with a greeting and/or image. The card comes with a matching
envelope.
Inside the kit you will receive:
Preview of a finished card.
Sheet 1 with main card and side inserts.
Sheet 2 with outer frame with the main insert in it's centre - this needs to be
cut out; inner frame, topper mat, topper and decouage.
Sheet 3 - backing design.
Sheet 4 - full sheet of backing paper as an alternative to the backing design.
Sheet 5 - all in one envelope.
Step by step instructions with photos.

I printed the design onto quality photo paper, using the option of printing the back side of the main card as well.
I cut it out and decoupaged the pieces where indicated and assembled the whole card as per the easy-to-follow instructions.
To complete it I used a few faux pearls here and there; it really needs no embellishment. You may see further photos of the inside and back of the card in my photo gallery. This card would absolutely delight any recipient and butterflies will suit most occasions.
