Santa

I love iris folded cards and have been looking for Mr Claus for some time. I used a tri-fold card and carefully cut out the Santa shape from the middle section. Following the fold directions, I changed the mittens to green and the boots to black.

To me the 'Iris' is the most important part. It is like the heart of the card so I made it of shiny silver paper. I added the paper piecing but somehow, it didn't look quite right. I couldn't cover the Iris and he really needed a beard so out came the cotton wool.

I'm not sure about the eyes but it does look like he has had a long Christmas Eve so I am happy!

I cut the shape directly into card stock and used shiny red paper strips for the coat and white felt for the cuffs, bottom of the coat and beard
