I printed this sheet twice onto card, one for the pattern and one as a template. I cut out the template and the paper piecing element, and traced the design onto the back of a piece of 14cm x 14cm dark purple card.

I cut out the wings and used two patterned white papers to iris fold the wings. I cut the paper piecing element from white card, and attached it to the butterfly. I mounted the design onto a 15cm x 15cm card blank, using 2mm foam pads, and used peel offs to finish the design.
