4 Square , Lilac and White Roses Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

A delightful foursome put together to make a beautiful topper for a card. I printed the sheet provided by Ceredwyn onto CB matte white 120gsm card and cut out the main element. I made a dark blue backing sheet cut at 13.5cm square, and a backing sheet from a previous purchase designed by Clare Walker, Botanical Leaf in Blue cup827619_79993, cut at 14 x 14.25cm, and a white backing sheet cut at 15.5 x 14.5cm. I edged the main element, the botanical print backing sheet and the white backing sheet with a dark blue permanent marker. I used a 1cm wide royal blue satin ribbon to attach to the centre back of the main element leaving the tails long enough to wrap around all the backing sheets, and secure at the back. I matted this group together using D.S. tape and attached them to the card front which measures 14.5cm x 16. I then slid a length of the same ribbon through the top exposed ribbon and tied a simple rabbit ears style bow. I took a photo of the finished card using the botanical print as a background and reduced the size of the print and attached it onto the left hand side of the insert. I do not have a home for this card just at the moment, so I have kept the blank sentiment to attach later. I cut out all the smaller elements and used tiny D.S. padded squares to mount them on to the topper. I then used tiny pale blue strips of gems to surround the main frame and the 2 side dark blue edges of the backing sheet. This is a truly beautiful card and will cover so many occasions and celebrations including birthday, mothers’ day, get well, even sympathy, and I will be able to use it many times over.
