I printed the insert on 120 gsm paper, I cut out the insert and inserted it into the card using a glue stick.

I used this insert as a background. I created the digital image of the card, printed it onto high quality card paper, cut it out, decoupaged the elements, attached onto the matching color base card and added greetings.
