I love this happy looking fun card and it’s one of the most simple ones to make. I did mine for my grandchildren. They call my husband Grandad Santa as he has a big white beard and they are always asking if he’s brought his gifts yet. Lol

Print out the project once and cut out the characters and stockings.

Go round the edges with a soft pencil taking away all the white lines so when they are layered you will see the picture and not notice the edges. If that makes sense.

You could of course cut smaller central pieces out of the base picture to use as a third layer if you’re sticking your picture down like this flat onto an A5 card. If you are leaving the characters to stick up over the top of the card obviously you can’t do that as the holes you leave will be seen. It’s just a way of getting a bit extra from the one print.

Layer up using double sided foam pads and double sided tape.

Now you can decorate with glitter glue, gems, ribbon or even 3D gloss. I’ve used some on the lettering just to make it pop a bit more. I wasn’t spot on as the nozzle was a bit wider than I would have liked but it still gave the desired effect. I also did eyes and noses and other parts of the image to make it have even more dimension. I hope you like it.

Take some plain paper or pretty coloured paper for your insert and cut it 3 mm in from each open edge to ensure when the card is closed the insert doesn’t stick out. Also if you use double sided tape to the folded edge of the upper part of your insert to attach it to the card it will open with the card rather than lie closed if you you don’t.

This should fit into a C5 envelope as it’s not many layers.

Tip if you are using a lot of layers on your card make sure you cut your card 5mm smaller on one with side and one length side, and obviously not the folded edge. This will allow your envelope to pillow out to take your stacked image card and not go too tight to manage to get in or back out again.
