French Windows - 'off the Beaten Track' - Gate FoldCompleted by Barbara Stubbings

This was an interesting card to make. A friend as me to make a card for a friend of hers who had recently lost her mother after a very trying life with her.

My friend wanted a card that depicted a new and happier beginning.

She chose this design as she described the opening of new doors and a new life's path to be followed.

She was thrilled with the results and the verse that I wrote for her. I printed the design onto good quality white card and cut out the window spaces. I scored the 'hinged' edge and folded the doors closed.

I added some light brown to the outside of the doors and a couple of wee brads as the door handles.

Finally I added just the smallest touch of sparkles to the path and through the trees. I attached the verse to the back of the card.
