Exploding Card - Steampunk 1
With an exploding card, the card itself gets tied with ribbon and when you untie the ribbon the pictures inside "explode" out because of the way they have been folded. Full instructions are on this website - they are very easy to make and once you've made one or two you won't need the instructions. Once made you can then either leave the card "as is" or attach it to the front of a larger card as a 3D topper.
I intend to do a series of Steampunk Exploding Cards and this is the first.

I'm a very visual learner, so the written tutorial was not much help for me. I highly recommend watching a few how-to videos (search "exploding card") if it is new to you.
That made it so much easier for me and then I came up with quite a few ways to make this and just used scissors, DST, card stock and ribbon.
