Exploding Card - Parasol and Fan
A vintage parasol, fan and purse with a basket full of flowers. The greeting panel has been left free from text to make the card more versatile.
With an exploding card, the card itself gets tied with ribbon and when you untie the ribbon the pictures inside "explode" out because of the way they have been folded. Full instructions are on this website - they are very easy to make and once you've made one or two you won't need the instructions. Once made you can then either leave the card "as is" or attach it to the front of a larger card as a 3D topper.

Printed & cut out twice on white paper. The exploding parts were folded & attached according to instructions into gate fold card. The outside of card was decorated with patterned paper, blue ribbons & the small pictures mounted on silver card.
