Butterfly Cut Outs 5Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus
Beautiful Butterflies.!! I printed the sheet in light card twice and cut out the 3 same shade, full size from the bottom of the sheet . I edged each one with black pen and matched & layered using D.S foam tape, slightly curling the wings.I used matt white Crafty Bob Card 29cmxx21cm & layered same size photo copied spring scene wrapping paper in Vellum and marked both the punched holes position (from the top 3cm, 11cm, 19cm). I used D.S foam dots to attach the butterflies and added self adhering stringed rhinestones for the trails.
I attached the vellum to the card last of all after using the paper photocopied same scene scene for the insert 28cmx20cm and punched at 2cm,6.5cm, 12cm & 18 cm.. I used a D.S strip near the back fold of the insert to hold it in place and threaded the matching silver edged 6mm ribbon, Starting from the underside of the insert -2 middle holes to then only use the three visible holes and tied the bow. Finished off with 3 larger pale mauve rhinestones.
I attached very small squares of D.S tape on the underside of the vellum, hidden by the butterflies. to hold the front from flopping open.
A very pretty spring scene.
I made a matching gift card with a sentiment but reduced the butterflies to thumb print
size. How cute!!. My friend was amazed at the result.
I didn't say how easy and quick it was to make.
