Oriental Carnation & Words Book SheetCompleted by Ann-marie Vaux
Tools Needed: A5 card, ink in brown, red and green, gold peel offs, 3D foam, adhesive runner, ruler or bone folder and Scissors, Book Sheet :cup3403
After cutting the pages from the sheet and all the embellishments, I use a section of the waste card that i have cut away from the sheet as a template to ink the edges of the card using brown first, then the red and finally green. By using the waste of the sheet this gives a good outline to ink. Then adding the line peel offs around the inked edges, just at the top and bottom.
Then in the centre of the card I attach one of the paper book binders, but I attach it 2 thirds of the way down allowing a fold over of the binder to over hang when folded. Then at either side of the binder the biggest pages are stuck down using 3D foam, and I give the pages a curl to make it look like they have movement. Then using 3D foam I attach the next to pages and then the top pages, all curled and raised. Then taking the binding I fold it over and attach the symbol to the end.
Underneath the book I glue the Happy Birthday paper and the fortune cookie, giving the cookie a scissor snip and inserting the paper to make it look like a fortune.. Experiment with this and have fun
