Swirly Waves Dark Metallic Background 1Completed by Margaret Swaby

As soon as I saw this sheet I knew what I wanted to use it for first. The colours tone so well with this vintage photo and it was the perfect size to frame it when printed out at A4 size. I printed it onto photo paper to give it a sheen. The backing paper that I used was from a pad called " Once Upon a Time" sorry cant remember who makes it, only that I sent for it from America. I added the picture of the war grave at the bottom right, printed the journaling onto pale green paper to tone with the frame . Details I wrote onto cream card and attached with foam pads and I stuck the letter on along one edge only so that it can be turned over if required to view the RAF emblem on the underside and also so that the letter inside can be removed to read. I finally added the poppy, which I think works really well. I couldnt beleive how well it turned out and I am sure that I would have had difficulty matching up these vintage colours without this sheet. I will certainly be getting much more use out of this sheet and the Happy bithday one that goes with it.

A poignant page but very effective dont you think?
