Although background designs are great for cardmaking, either for matting and layering or printed onto card and cut as the base card, they are also useful for other crafting as well.

In this picture you can see a display stand I've made to show off a necklace and a little box for a memory wire bracelet. I printed the design onto two sheets of good quality white card. I've set up my own cutting file for the display stand so simply cut that out using my CraftROBO. For the box I just scored to make it a half inch deep and three inch square, cut where required and stuck the corners together.
